New MaNEP member / UniGE welcomes Prof. Christoph Renner
Prof. Christoph Renner has been appointed at the UniGE-Department of Condensed Matter Physics from October 1, 2006, in replacement of Prof. Bernard Giovannini (retired).

A former PhD student of MaNEP's director Prof. Oystein Fischer, Christoph Renner is a STM specialist. He is currently working for the
University College of London, at the Centre for Nanotechnology. Once in Geneva, Prof. Renner will create a new tunneling spectroscopy lab. His interest goes to manganites and in particular the issue of phase separation in strongly correlated systems.
A father of 2 children, Christoph Renner is also a skillful pilot.
