This summer school is open to all PhD students and Post-Docs working in research and development of new materials with novel electronic properties. Priority will be given to students working within an institution related to MaNEP, but participants from other institutions (Swiss or foreign countries) will be gladly accepted if there is available place.

Format

The summer school will start on Monday September 11th at 2 pm and end on Saturday September 16th at 12 pm.

Location

This school will be held at Saas Fee, a beautiful Valais village located at almost 1800 meters and surrounded by a fantastic chain of mountain culminating up to 4000 meters. This village has the particularity to have no car traffic. A large car park is available at the entry of the village, but the daily price is such that we strongly recommend to the participants to use public transportation. The easiest way to reach Saas-Fee is to take the train to Brig and then to catch a postal bus for Saas Fee in front of the Brig train station. Accommodation

The participants will be hosted either at the hotel ALLALIN or in several two-bedroom apartments close to the hotel. The school will be held at the Congress Centre Steinmatte. To contact the hotel :

Registration fee

For MaNEP members, the registration fee is CHF 600.- and CHF 650.- for non-members. It includes : school registration, hotel and full board from Monday 11th afternoon up to lunch on Saturday 16th.
