Participant
This summer school
is dedicated to all the PhD students and Post-Docs working in the research
and development of new materials with novel electronic properties. Priority
will be given to students working within an institution related to MaNEP,
but participants from other institutions (Swiss or foreign countries)
will be gladly accepted if there is available place.
Format
The
summer school will start on Monday September 6th at 14 pm and end on
Saturday September 11th at 12 pm. The program of this school will consist
of basic courses of 6 hours and 6 advanced courses of 2 hours.
Location
This school will
be held at Saas Fee, a beautiful Valais village located at almost 1800
meters and surrounded by a fantastic chain of mountain culminating up
to 4000 meters. This village has the particularity to have no traffic
car. A large car park is available at the entry of the village, but
the daily price is such that we strongly recommend to the participants
to use public transportation. The easiest way to reach Saas-Fee is to
take the train up to Brig and then to catch a postal bus for Saas Fee
in front of the Brig train station. For the train and bus timetable

Accommodation
The participants will be lodged either at the hotel ALLALIN or in several
two bedrooms apartments close to the hotel. The school will be held
at the Congress Centre Steinmatte. To contact the hotel or the congress

Registration
The registration fee is CHF 500.- It includes
school registration, hotel and full board from Monday afternoon up to
the lunch of the Saturday 11th. The fee has to be paid by June 15th at
the following address. At the reception of your payement, a short confirmation
will be sent. In case of cancellation after July 15th, 50% of the registration
fee will be returned. The registration fee will not be returned after
August 15th. |
