MaNEP session at the SPS meeting

This year MaNEP organized again a special session at the annual Swiss Physical Society meeting that took place last August at the University of Zurich. The MaNEP session focused on the recent developments in the study of materials with novel electronic phenomena arising from electronic correlations or topological properties.

The four sessions held during two afternoons included the participation of the invited speakers Anna Tamai (UNIGE), Oleg Yazyev (EPFL) and Jochen Mannhart (Max Planck Institute of Solid State Research – Stuttgart). The plenary speaker Patrick Maletinsky (Uni Basel) was also suggested by MaNEP. The schedule was completed with speakers and poster presenters coming from all over Switzerland. A networking lunch was organized where PhD students and postdocs got in touch with the invited speakers of the MaNEP session.

Many thanks to all of the invited speakers, attendees and poster presenters for contributing to the MaNEP session!
